Joe Biden is facing the biggest decision of his life.
The former Vice President must select a running mate and given Biden’s condition this pick could decide if he wins or loses the 2020 Presidential Election.
Now Joe Biden found out some really bad news about one of his potential VP picks.
Biden is in hot water after Biden told popular radio host Charlamagne Tha God that “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
Those remarks set off a firestorm of criticism as Biden’s long history of racist remarks were a big reason young and minority voters were not enthusiastic about his campaign.
In an interview on MSNBC Charlamagne told viewers that Biden suffered a serious enthusiasm gap and Democrats’ big fear should be voters staying home on Election Day if Biden picked someone like Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar as his running mate.
“Well, on top of possible Russian interference and voter suppression, Dems have to worry about voter depression, and that’s people staying home on Election Day because they just aren’t enthused by the candidate,” Charlamagne stated.
The popular radio host added that Biden was like other Democrat nominees that took black voters for granted.
“You can’t act like this is the most important election ever but run a campaign from your basement and, you know, not make some real policy commitments to the Black community and not listen to some of the demands that the Black community are making. I think people are sitting around hoping that Trump loses instead of going out there and actually beating him.” Charlamagne continued.
“He has to do something that energizes his campaign, that brings some actual enthusiasm to his campaign. So those 4.4 million Obama voters who stayed home in 2016, more than a third of them Black, you know, don’t do that this year. You got to make them come out,” Charlamagne concluded.
The obvious implication from this interview is that Biden must select a black woman as his running mate.
Some pundits thought Klobuchar was Biden’s best pick because she hailed from Minnesota – which expected to be a swing state – and was also familiar to voters in other Midwestern states.
The top candidates that are black women do not add any Electoral College advantage.
Kamala Harris hails from California and that state’s Electoral College votes are already in the bag.
Florida Congresswoman Val Demings played a major role in the impeachment hoax as a House Manager so her presence on the ticket would only remind voters of a low point for the party.
As a previously little known Congresswoman it would be a leap for voters to believe her capable of handling the job as President.
Finally, failed Georgia Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is a trendy pick in the fake news media, but her resume is a joke as the highest elected office Abrams ever held was State Senator.
Joe Biden’s declining mental health means it is likely he would only serve one term.
So when voters head to the polls this November they are really voting for who would take over after Biden’s mentally incapable of serving as President.
But Biden is being pulled in two directions.
Candidates that excite his base could turn off swing voters and the candidate that could seal the deal with independents would depress his base.
