Joe Biden’s trying to escape accountability for the disastrously planned and executed withdrawal from Afghanistan that allowed ISIS to murder 13 U.S. troops.
That led to all hell breaking loose.
Joe Biden faced two calls to resign that led to this explosive confrontation.
Republicans – as well as some Democrats = blasted the Biden administration for the failure to properly plan and prepare for the Taliban taking over Afghanistan and the need to evacuate thousands of American citizens.
This led to a haphazard plan by Biden to deploy 6,000 troops to the Kabul Airport where Taliban checkpoints and thousands of ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists the Taliban let out of prison surrounded them.
The Biden administration absurdly trusted the Taliban to secure the airport which resulted in an ISIS terrorist detonating a suicide bomb killing 12 marines and one Navy corpsman.
That proved to serve as a breaking point for multiple Republican senators that called on Joe Biden to resign.
Missouri Senator Josh Hawley was the first to call on Biden to step down.
Hawley supported withdrawing from Afghanistan and even praised Biden’s original decision as it was in line with Donald Trump’s plan.
But the incompetent plan Biden put in place which led to the deaths of American service members led Hawley to believe Biden was unfit for office.
“We must reject the falsehood peddled by a feckless president that this was the only option for withdrawal,” Hawley began.
“This is the product of Joe Biden’s catastrophic failure of leadership,” Hawley continued. “It is now painfully clear he has neither the will nor the capacity to lead. He must resign.”
Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn went even further demanding that not only Biden – bt his entire national security team also resign.
“Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Antony Blinken, Lloyd Austin and General Milley should all resign or face impeachment and removal from office,” Senator Blackburn wrote on social media.
Reporters pressed Jen Psaki about the calls for Biden to step down.
Psaki claimed that now was not the time for politics or to criticize Joe Biden even though Joe Biden’s decisions led to these tragedies.
“I would say, first, this is a day where U.S. servicemembers — 12 of them — lost their lives at the hands of terrorists. It’s not a day for politics, and we would expect that any American, whether they’re elected or not, would stand with us in our commitment to going after and fighting and killing those terrorists wherever they live, and to honoring the memory of servicemembers. And that’s what this day is for,” Psaki stated.
That defense rang hollow.
Democrats had no problem calling for impeaching George W. Bush and Donald Trump or demanding for their resignation no matter if there was loss of American life.
Joe Biden botched Afghanistan and Jen Psaki’s claim that Biden should be free from criticism fit with an earlier administration talking point about not wanting to “Monday morning quarterback” the bungled withdrawal.
