Joe Biden deserted thousands of Americans behind Taliban checkpoints after his disastrously executed withdrawal from Afghanistan.
But each horrifying new detail that emerges exposes just how catastrophically incompetent the administration is.
And now Joe Biden had some really bad news for Americans stranded in Afghanistan.
There is an open question as to how many Americans the Biden administration deserted in Afghanistan.
In one day, the administration gave three different numbers – 5,000 to 10,000 and 11,000.
A former Bush administration official claimed there could be as many as 40,000 Americans hiding in Afghanistan.
In an interview on Fox News, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby admitted he had no idea how many Americans remained behind enemy lines in Afghanistan.
“I don’t know,” Kirby told anchor Bret Baier.
That admission came after another disastrous set of briefings where the Pentagon and State Department Spokesman played an Abbott and Costello routine of who’s on first when asked how many Americans the administration stranded in Afghanistan.
At first, Kirby directed that question to the State Department.
“I think as you probably know, first of all, the State Department would be a better place to go for an estimate of how many Americans are in Afghanistan or in and around Kabul. That is not a figure that the United States military would know, and I think you also know not every American citizen in another country that there’s no obligation that they register their presence. And that you can have a perfect accurate count,” Kirby stated.
“But I don’t have that figure, and I’m referring to my State Department colleagues for the best estimate on that,” Kirby continued.
But when reporters asked State Department Spokesman Ned Price – who was a major supporter of the Russian collusion hoax – how many Americans remained in Afghanistan Price said he had no idea.
“We have been in contact with the Americans who have requested to be repatriated. We’re just not in a position to give a number right now. We’re more broadly, not in position to offer an aggregate figure, because we are putting forward offers to individuals who may be interested in relocating,” Price declared.
Astoundingly, Price blamed the Americans hiding in terror from being discovered by the Taliban for the administration’s inability to evacuate all Americans still in Afghanistan.
“In some cases, they may opt not to come to the airport. They may opt not to be relocated for whatever reason,” Price added.
But that wasn’t even the worst of it all.
The Biden administration actually charged Americans $2,000 to pay for their own evacuation from Afghanistan and escape being held hostage or public execution at the hands of the Taliban.
State Dept's Overseas Security Advisory Council said Aug. 14: "Repatriation flights are not free, & passengers will be required to sign a promissory loan agreement & may not be eligible to renew their U.S. passports til the loan is repaid. Cost may be $2,000 or more per person." https://t.co/K9bb3xtoYE pic.twitter.com/2pPo3n64dJ

Critics contend that if the Biden administration truly has no idea how many Americans it abandoned in Afghanistan and demanded those behind enemy lines pay their own way out of the country, how committed could the Biden team be to evacuating all Americans from Afghanistan?
