Donald Trump and Joe Biden are not about to put their feud to rest.
It’s actually about to heat up.
Now Joe Biden was just put on notice by Donald Trump with these ten words.
Joe Biden has claimed he will run for re-election if Donald Trump declares his candidacy for a second term.
Appearing on the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton show Donald Trump made it clear it was a mere formality that he would run for re-election
“Knowing what you know and seeing what you see of Joe Biden, how do you not run in 2024?” Travis asked Trump.
Trump responded that given Biden’s weakness and the damage Biden inflicted on the country Trump felt obligated to run for re-election.
In addition, Trump cited polling showing that Republicans are poised for big gains in 2022 and to take back the White House in 2024.
“Very hard for me not to run, to be honest,” Trump added. “And also, the polls indicate that, from the Republican standpoint, it would be easy.”
The corporate media and establishment Republicans falsely claim Trump could not defeat Biden.
But the Real Clear Politics polling average shows Trump leading Biden 44 to 42 percent.
Sexton then asked Trump the natural follow up question of when he would announce his re-election campaign.
“There are some things we just have to ask you, Mr. President. If you’re gonna announce, when are you gonna announce? Can you tell us that?” Sexton wondered.
Trump said it came down to timing.
“Is it before or after?” Trump said referring to his decision coming down to would Trump declare his candidacy for president before or after November’s midterm election.
“Well, if I’m gonna announce, I’ll have to make a decision, is it going to be…? You know, two words: Is it before or after? And there are reasons for both. Some very good things about earlier. There’s some very good things about later. The way I look at it is if I announce early and we do well, I’ll get credit for having done well — as much as you’ll get ’cause the press won’t give you credit anyway. If I do poorly, I’ll get absolutely… It’ll be horrible. But if I announce later and we do well, I won’t get any criticized,” Trump responded.
Federal campaign finance laws dictate how Trump can spend the money he raises so there are benefits to waiting until after the election to announce his candidacy.
Trump said his mind was made up and he would soon decide when he would announce his decision,
“I’ll make a decision fairly soon,” Trump declared. “And my… I must tell you — and I think I can say this — in my mind, I’ve already made the decision.”
