Joe Biden is shameless in his contempt towards fallen heroes.
He can’t even hide it in front of the cameras.
Joe Biden made a disgusting gesture during the transfer of 13 slain troops.
On Sunday afternoon President Joe Biden attended a solemn ceremony of a “dignified transfer” at Dover Force Airport.
The ceremony was to pay respects to the 13 US troops killed in the terror attack at Kabul airport as their bodies arrived on American soil.
“Biden stood with hand over his heart, sometimes with his eyes closed, for dignified transfer of the Marines, one soldier and one sailor killed in Kabul airport attack,” Bloomberg News reporter Jennifer Jacobs tweeted. “About 3 dozen relatives were seated in chairs, in Biden’s line of sight. One woman’s wailing could be heard.”
Yet Biden appeared to have other things on his mind that were more important than paying respects to the fallen soldiers.
Toward the end of the event, about 40 minutes in, cameras caught Biden appearing to glance at his watch as he took his hand off his heart.
It’s shameful that the president couldn’t set aside an hour to properly grieve over soldiers who would not have died if Biden hadn’t mishandled the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
He continued his lack of respect when speaking with the families.
Biden’s meeting with the family of a Marine killed in Kabul after the transfer was described by them as “scripted and shallow.”
The family of Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum who left behind his wife, who is due to give birth within the next few weeks attended the transfer.
“One of McCollum’s sisters, Roice, said she and her sister and her father joined McCollum’s wife, Jiennah McCollum, on the trip. But when it came time to meet with the president, they left the room, because she said they did not want to speak with the man they held responsible for McCollum’s death,” the Washington Post reported.
“Only Jiennah, who is expecting the couple’s child next month, stayed. But she left disappointed, Roice said,” per the Post.
“The president brought up his son, Beau, according to her account, describing his son’s military service and subsequent death from cancer. It struck the family as scripted and shallow, a conversation that lasted only a couple of minutes in ‘total disregard to the loss of our Marine,’” Roice told the paper.
The family expected more given that Biden made decisions that led to McCollum’s death.
“You can’t f— up as bad as he did and say you’re sorry,” Roice said. “This did not need to happen, and every life is on his hands.”
