Joe Biden isn’t acting like a candidate cruising towards a blowout win.
There is good reason for that.
And Joe Biden snapped when he heard some bad news about this battleground state.
In 2016 Donald Trump fell just 50,000 votes short of flipping Minnesota red for the first time since 1972.
The President’s campaign made winning Minnesota a priority heading into the 2020 election.
But when an ABC/Washington Post poll came out showing Joe Biden leading Trump by 16 points in Minnesota, everyone though the state was in the bag for the Democrats.
Over the course of the campaign as Donald Trump’s message of law and order and reopening the economy took hold the race tightened and by the final Friday before the election both Trump and Biden scheduled rallies in Minnesota showing just how close the race was.
And it did not sit well with Joe Biden that he had to work hard to hold off the President in Minnesota.
At on rally Biden snapped because there were more Trump supporters at the event than Democrats.
Biden hosts drive in rallies so Trump supporters gathered en masse to honk their horns throughout Biden’s speech causing the former Vice President to lose his cool.
“These guys are not very polite, but they’re like Trump,” Biden said, raising his hand towards the pro-Trump crowd. “They’re gonna be okay. We’re gonna take care of them as well. We need to come together. Need to fight for all these folks.”
Later, Biden blew his top and ranted that Trump supporters were “ugly” because they opposed Dr. Fauci and Joe Biden’s unconstitutional national mask mandate.
“Dr. [Anthony] Fauci called for a mask mandate last week,” Biden ranted. “This isn’t a political statement like those ugly folks over there beeping their horns. This is a patriotic duty for God’s sake.”
Later, it became clear why Biden was so frazzled.
Minnesota’s pro-Antifa Attorney General Keith Eillison appeared on fake news CNN and said President Trump’s final week ad buy of $1.2 million – which was more than the last three weeks combined – was evidence the President had a real chance to carry Minnesota.
“Honestly, yeah, I do. I will tell you, I believe in our campaign workers and organizers. They’re working extremely hard. I can tell you that Minnesotans know what a problem Trump is. They know he doesn’t care about their health care. They know all the bad things about him. But there are some folks who still are supporting him. And so what I tell people is, one, he does have a shot, don’t play it cheap, work hard for every single vote. And don’t stop until 8:00 on November 3,” Ellison told fake news CNN host Chris Cuomo.
Ellison’s conduct in office is one big reason the President can carry Minnesota.
Last spring Ellison was part of the state’s Democrat leadership that allowed Black Lives Matter to burn down Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd.
That lawlessness combined with Democrats wanting to keep Americans locked down allowed President Trump to get back in the race in Minnesota.
