Joe Biden’s political career has been on the rocks for years.
But one breaking scandal just finished it off for good.
And now, Democrats are panicking like never before as Biden’s political standing plumets in the wake of this career-ending scandal.
Joe Biden has found himself at the center of the biggest political scandal of the decade so far.
With recent news that Biden kept classified materials in his garage, the Democrat President is now looking at the very real possibility of repeating the same path which Hillary Clinton went through in 2016.
And the end result could be a defeat for Biden in the 2024 elections, if he even chooses to run for a second term.
Now, Democrats are panicking as Biden’s Attorney General was just forced to recuse himself from the matter and appoint a Special Counsel to oversee the investigation into his classified documents scandal.
NBC reports, “U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Thursday he was appointing Robert Hur to serve as a special counsel to review classified material found in President Joe Biden’s Delaware residence and a Washington office he used.
Hur, now a lawyer at a Washington, D.C., firm, was the U.S. Attorney for Maryland during the Trump administration, and is also the former principal counselor to former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversaw the Mueller investigation.”
Of course, serious questions arise as to the potential political biases the investigation could take, with Hur’s connections to the bogus Mueller investigation and Garland’s own political loyalty to Biden well-established.
But the fact that Garland had to act so quickly to head off an even greater scandal it is proof that the Democrats sense a serious danger brewing for Biden.
“The move came after the White House acknowledged publicly on Thursday that classified Obama administration documents were found in one of Biden’s Delaware homes. This came after confirming Monday that documents had been found in a Washington office,” adds NBC.
“Garland said the DOJ was told about the documents in Biden’s home on Dec. 20. Biden’s lawyer informed the Justice Department on Thursday morning that one other document had been found in the home, Garland said.”
Now, Biden is finding himself in the center of a political scandal which could form the centerpiece of the 2024 election debate.
And with Democrats having already turned on Biden in large numbers due to his failed record over the last two years, this classified documents scandal could end up being the straw which breaks the camel’s back.
At the time of the scandal’s announcement, Democrats had already begun to clear the field for Biden in the expectation of a re-election announcement.
But the revelation that Biden is now knee-deep in his own classified documents scandal could lead to some within the Democratic Party having second thoughts about backing out of a primary race against Biden.
And so far, Biden isn’t doing himself any favors.
NBC concludes, “Asked why he’d had classified documents next to his Corvette in his garage, Biden said: ‘My Corvette’s in a locked garage. It’s not like they’re sitting out on a street.’”
