Joe Biden had one plan that would have left Tara Reade powerless.
His record shows that he is not a friend of women’s rights.
One piece of Joe Biden’s history is a smoking gun Democrats can’t ignore.
The Democrats like to pretend that they are strong on women’s rights.
While Democrats are strong in promoting women’s right to abort their unborn children, when it comes to making sure their presidential candidate hasn’t committed sexual assault the Democrats are more fuzzy.
Even their strong female nominee, Hillary Clinton, was reported to have visited Epstein’s ranch many times by staff who worked there and she was married to Bill Clinton who has been accused of sexual misconduct by four women.
The Democrats are not a party that takes sexual assault seriously, they are the Party that treats sexual assault like a political weapon.
Tara Reade has accused Biden of sexually assaulting her when she worked as an aide to his Senate office in 1993 when she was asked to deliver a gym bag to Biden.
“It happened all at once…his hands were on me and underneath my clothes,” Reade said. “Yeah, and he went down my skirt but then up inside it, and he penetrated me with his fingers, and he was kissing me at the same time, and he was saying something to me. He said several things. I can’t remember everything he said.”
Reade claims that after this alleged event she reported some part of Biden’s harassment to the Office of Senate Fair Employment Practices which handles sexual assault complaints.
Biden shockingly tried to stop the Office of Senate Fair Employment Practices from starting in 1991.
Before that office was created Senate and Congress members did not have to follow anti-discrimination laws, they were exempt.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) thought there should be an amendment to civil rights laws to make sure employees of Congress were not discriminated against on the basis of “race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability.”
Biden worked together with Republican Senator Warren Rudman to campaign against the Office of Senate Fair Employment Practices.
Rudman was trying to get the office declared unconstitutional.
When Biden’s campaign was contacted they admitted that he had sided with Rudman against the formation of the Office of Senate Fair Employment Practices in 1991.
The Beacon noted, “Biden also voted against an amendment to the Civil Rights Act that would have allowed Senate staffers to sue for damages in a jury trial. The measure failed 54-42.”
While this vote doesn’t prove Biden’s guilt the fact that Biden voted against Senate staff having the same protections as ordinary workers is suspicious.
The fact that Joe Biden voted against civil right protection for his own workers doesn’t make him look like a progressive.
When Biden says he has a long history of working with people across the aisle this isn’t the record he wants scrutinized.
Joe Biden’s record isn’t in his favor that’s why he’s keeping his Senate papers secret and sealed in the University of Delaware.
