All hell is breaking loose in Washington because of John Bolton’s bombshell anti-Trump book.
Now the other shoe just dropped.
And John Bolton’s book just got shut down by the last person he ever expected.
The fake news media is lapping up John Bolton’s book excerpts that slam President Trump.
Bolton claimed the President groveled with the Chinese President to interfere in the 2020 election by buying U.S. agricultural products to boost President Trump’s re-election chances.
The book also claimed an outrageous smear that President Trump approved of Chinese President Xi Jing Ping’s plan to put over one million Muslims into concentration camps.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal Donald Trump called Bolton a “liar.”
But Trump was not the first Republican President to call Bolton a liar.
Back in 2008 Bolton attacked President George W. Bush for lifting some sanctions on North Korea.
“Nothing can erase the ineffable sadness of an American presidency, like this one, in total intellectual collapse,” Bolton wrote at the time.
President Bush angrily responded in an interview with political reporters blasting Bolton as a dishonest narrator that twisted events to hit his political narrative.
The New York Times reported at the time “Bush grew more agitated at the mention of his own former senior diplomat. “Let me just say from the outset that I don’t consider Bolton credible,” the president said bitterly. Bush had brought Bolton into the top ranks of his administration, fought for Senate confirmation and, when lawmakers balked, defied critics to give the hawkish aide a recess appointment. “I spent political capital for him,” Bush said, and look what he got in return.”
Bolton betrayed President Bush much in the same way Bolton ended up stabbing President Trump in the back.
Back in 2005, President Bush nominated Bolton to serve as Ambassador to the United Nations.
Democrats filibustered the nomination accusing Biden of lying to Congress over his involvement in Bolton and the Bush administration’s false claims that Saddam Hussein owned weapons of mass destruction.
“In a letter to Mr. Bush, the senators cited the disclosure on Thursday that Mr. Bolton had been interviewed by the State Department’s inspector general in an investigation of intelligence failures related to Iraq, even though he told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in March that he had not been involved in any such inquiry,” the New York Times reported back in 2005.
Bolton has clear issues with the truth that go back over a decade.
His book will become catnip for the fake news media but numerous on the record denials from Trump administration officials plus Boltons long history of being denounced as a liar by a past Republican President should eliminate any credibility Bolton has left.
