The left despises Kellyanne Conway over her support of President Trump.
She has been by his side since day one, and unafraid to stand up to his enemies.
And she just sent Adam Schiff a demand he’s sure to hate.
The impeachment inquiry Adam Schiff has been running just changed venues, and is now before the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. Jerry Nadler.
Nadler and his Democrat cronies will work off of the report Schiff compiled throughout his impeachment hearings, and haul in more witnesses to try to make the case that Trump needs to be impeached.
But this change of venue may cause a lot of problems for Schiff after counselor to President Trump Kellyanne Conway brought up one point while speaking to reporters.
She points out that, with the hearings no longer being in front of Schiff’s committee, he should be forced to testify in front of the new hearings.
And she is the one who wants to represent the White House during his testimony.
“They have to be more definitive about what we’re doing — what they’re doing — and they’re not definitive,” Conway said of House Democrats. “First it’s Judiciary Committee, then it goes over to Intel, now it’s back to Judiciary.”
“Is Adam Schiff going to testify?” Conway asked. “Because he’s a fact witness. That would be great. I’ll tell you what, if Adam Schiff testifies, I’ll show up on behalf of the White House.”
Conway has been critical of Schiff and the entire impeachment debacle.
Recently she went on Fox and Friends to describe Schiff’s efforts as an “ego trip” that voters would recognize when Democrat Representatives went home to their districts over the recent Thanksgiving holiday.
She went on to blast the impeachment effort as proving nothing of substance.
“This is after two weeks and 12 witnesses and 30 hours of testimony and a big nothing,” Conway said. “The American people know. They see the split screen. Impeachment over here — and what’s important to them over there.”
Conway is hitting the nail on the head.
Approval for impeachment has steadily decreased as time has gone by.
At the start of the hearings, Schiff and the Democrats enjoyed majority support, according to mainstream polling.
But even the mainstream media’s own polling shows that they have lost that strong support.
And Trump’s approval rating is climbing, with it being higher than it was during the same period of Barack Obama’s presidency.
That’s the number that really scares Democrats.
If Obama was able to win re-election with a lower approval rating, and a struggling economy, Trump will have a much easier time with his higher approval, and booming economy.
So if Democrats can’t take Trump out of office through impeachment, or at least drag his name through the mud enough to influence the election, they are doomed.
