Donald Trump’s re-election fate will be decided by voters in a handful of key states.
The picture in the battlegrounds is beginning to come into focus.
And the results of this one key swing state poll had Trump shaking his head in disbelief.
For all of 2018 and 2019, the President’s campaign team insisted Donald Trump would expand the electoral map in 2020.
Fake news media “experts” claimed these claims were not a sign of the President playing a strong hand politically, but were actually a sign of desperation.
So-called “political reporters” claimed that the President’s low approval rating meant key battleground states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were lost to the President so his campaign’s claim that states like Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico and Nevada were in play were nothing more than a losing campaign’s wishful thinking since their original path to the 270 electoral college votes was closed off.
But as the calendar turned to 2020 and the impeachment witch hunt dragged on, the fake news “experts’” confident predictions of the President’s political demise turned out to be more of the same fantasies about Trump’s downfall that liberal media members engaged in back in 2016 that blew up in their faces.
Pollster Jim McLaughlin tweeted out that his firm just completed a brand new survey of New Hampshire and the poll found Donald Trump leading every major Democrat rival in the Granite State.
McLaughlin tweeted, “Poll Alert: Our new Feb 2/5-6 statewide poll of 400 likely New Hampshire voters for the ACU: 48% approve @realDonaldTrump Trump beats Biden 49%-45%. Trump beats Sanders 48%-45%. Biden 57% neg, Sanders 54% neg, Pelosi 56% neg! @realDonaldTrump winning!”
Hillary Clinton squeaked out a victory over Trump for New Hampshire’s four Electoral College votes by just four tenths of a percent back in 2016.
One of the reasons states like New Hampshire are in play is because the President is using his massive rallies to register new voters and gather their data for the fall campaign.
To attend a Trump rally, one must submit a ticket request that gives the campaign vital voter data that allows them to assess who is attending the rally and if the event is growing the President’s base of support.
Tens of thousands of Americans put in requests for tickets even if their number of ticket requests exceeds the capacity of the venue where the campaign is staging the rally.
For instance, the Trump campaign received over 100,000 ticket requests for a rally in New Jersey held in a building with a capacity of just under 8,000 seats.
Contrary to the dominate “narrative” – i.e. lies – in the fake news media, the President and his campaign team were not just counting on turning out the same voters that supported Trump in 2016 as the path to a second term.
In fact, the President’s campaign used the last three years to build the most well-funded and sophisticated voter identification and turnout operation in American political history.
That machine – combined with the fact that the President’s approval numbers are rising as Americans credit the President for a booming economy and killing key terrorists like Qasem Soleimani – means the President has the operation in place to turn out the growing number of potential Trump voters.
And that is why polls show the President in good position to expand his electoral majority by adding states like New Hampshire to his column.
