Not even Joe Biden’s supporters believe the polls that show Biden leading President Trump.
Some of the biggest names in the party are whispering about their concerns over the state of the race.
And now this leading Democrat is secretly telling everyone Joe Biden is blowing the election.
Despite national polls showing a steady Joe Biden lead, the data coming out of the battleground states tells a different story.
Polls show Donald Trump gaining ground.
The Cook Report also moved their forecasts of the races in Florida and Nevada in Donald Trump’s favor.
And despite the confidence they project in the fake news media, Democrats are privately worrying.
One top Democrat telling other party officials that Biden may be blowing the election is Bernie Sanders.
The Washington Post exclusively reported that “Sanders, the runner-up to Biden in the Democratic primaries, has told associates that Biden is at serious risk of coming up short in the November election if he continues his vaguer, more centrist approach, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive talks.”
Many Democrats privately worried that during the convention the Biden campaign did not offer up their own economic vision for the country and instead focused on attacking Donald Trump personally.
Sanders amplified that critique, but pressed Biden to broadcast his support for Sanders’s socialist agenda, which would damage Biden’s campaign even more.
“The senator has identified several specific changes he’d like to see, saying Biden should talk more about health care and about his economic plans, and should campaign more with figures popular among young liberals, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.),” the Washington Post also reported.
Instead of denying the story a Sanders’ spokesman essentially confirmed that it was true.
“Senator Sanders is confident that Joe Biden is in a very strong position to win this election, but nevertheless feels there are areas the campaign can continue to improve upon,” Faiz Shakir told the Post. “He has been in direct contact with the Biden team and has urged them to put more emphasis on how they will raise wages, create millions of good paying jobs, lower the cost of prescription drugs and expand health care coverage.”
Every poll shows Donald Trump leads Joe Biden on the question of who voters believe is better suited to handle the economy.
Bernie Sanders – as well as other Democrats – know the economy is always the number one issue for voters.
President Trump’s ability to frame the race as a choice as to who the voters want to manage the economic rebuild coming out of the coronavirus pandemic could be his campaign’s path to victory.
