RINO Congresswoman Liz Cheney is the face of the Never Trump movement.
Conservatives wonder why Cheney is even in the Republican Party to begin with.
And Liz Cheney finally said this is when she will leave the Republican Party.
In an interview at the Texas Tribune Festival Liz Cheney announced she would leave the GOP if Donald Trump won the party’s 2024 Presidential nomination.
The RINO Cheney said she would first try to deny Trump the nomination.
“I’m gonna make sure Donald Trump — I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure he’s not the nominee,” Cheney declared.
Cheney’s plans include a delusional belief that she can run for president herself and stop Trump.
After her 37-point defeat at the hands of Trump-backed Harriet Hageman Cheney insanely compared herself to Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President who won the White House after losing multiple Congressional elections.
“The great and original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln, was defeated in elections for the Senate and the House before he won the most important election of all. Lincoln ultimately prevailed, he saved our Union and he defined our obligation as Americans for all of history,” Cheney said at the time.
But Cheney said if she failed in her bid to deny Trump the GOP nomination should leave the Republican Party.
“And if he is the nominee, I won’t be a Republican,” Cheney declared.
Cheney also stated that she regretted voting for President Trump in the 2020 election.
“Knowing what I know now, I would not have voted for Donald Trump,” Cheney stated.
Most conservatives already consider Cheney a Democrat based on her support for impeaching President Trump and for serving as the “Republican” face of Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Select Committee.
Cheney also voted for Joe Biden’s bills to impose homosexual marriage on Americans and to ban and seize firearms through red flag confiscation laws.
In the same interview Cheney also showed she was no longer a Republican by stating her belief that Republicans should not hold a majority to make House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy Speaker of the House.
“No,” Cheney responded when asked if McCarthy should serve as speaker.
And – of course – Cheney’s reasoning centered only in her fixation with Donald Trump.
“I say that because the Speaker of the House is the second in line to the president – the presidency – after the vice president. And at every single moment when our time of testing came, and Kevin had to make a decision about what he was gonna do, he’s made the – politically easy for him, or the – politically expedient decision instead of what the country needed. And I think that somebody who’s gonna be that close to the presidency needs to be somebody who’s faithful to the Constitution,” Cheney stated.
Cheney can make statements about leaving the GOP is Trump wins the nomination in 2024, but Republican Voters already told Cheney to get lost by handing her a 37-point landslide defeat in her primary.
