They want to go against the Constitution.
But will they really try and push their insane plan?
Now, Mark Levin reveals one shocking fact about the Democrats’ plans for the Senate.
It did not take the Democrats long at all to try and exploit the tragic passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Despite being a liberal herself, the Democrats are using her death to forward their own plans for the US Senate.
Trump recently announced that he would nominate Ginsburg’s successor.
After this, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Senate would vote on Trump’s selection.
However, this did not sit well with the Democrats.
They want to postpone the nomination and selection of a new justice until after the election in November.
This call is extremely problematic for a variety of reasons and is a dirty attempt by the Democrats to gain power through crisis.
They warned – some say threatened – Trump that they will respond by packing the court in order to get the vote they want.
This approach was used – unsuccessfully – by Franklin Delano Roosevelt after the Supreme Court in the 1930s struck down some New Deal legislation passed and involves appointing as many as six new justices to the Supreme Court in order to control the court and obtain a result that favors them.
This unconstitutional blackmail was condemned by Mark Levin of Fox News when he stated the Democrats were following a “Stalinist model.”
Last Sunday on Fox and Friends, he stated:
“Now, what the Democrats want to do is sabotage this entire process,”
In addition to this, he cited Dan McLaughlin’s National Review article, which demonstrates that the Democrats are in the wrong.
“Twenty-nine times in American history there has been an open Supreme Court vacancy in a presidential election year, or in a lame-duck session before the next presidential inauguration,” McLaughlin wrote. “The president made a nomination in all twenty-nine cases. George Washington did it three times. John Adams did it. Thomas Jefferson did it. Abraham Lincoln did it. Ulysses S. Grant did it. Franklin D. Roosevelt did it. Dwight Eisenhower did it. Barack Obama, of course, did it. Twenty-two of the 44 men to hold the office faced this situation, and all twenty-two made the decision to send up a nomination, whether or not they had the votes in the Senate.”
Not only has this occurred numerous times before, this information demonstrates that history favors Trump in this instance.
“According to the Democrats, the whole country should stop, the Supreme Court should stop, the president shouldn’t uphold the Constitution, the majority in the Senate shouldn’t uphold the Constitution, because they hope Joe Biden will be elected president, that they’ll take the Senate,”
In essence, the Democrats are attempting to make an unconstitutional power play.
Levin continued, discussing the dangers of the Democratic Party’s ideas in light of this incident.
He talked about how the Democrats seek to destroy the Constitution and reshape it in their image.
While that stance may seem a bit extreme, when one considers the stunts they are attempting to pull, it becomes easier to see where Levin is coming from.
This new development only makes November’s election that much more stressful than before.
