Donald Trump and Mike Pence have just over 80 days to make their case to voters for a second term.
The polls show Joe Biden and Kamala Harris leading Trump and Pence both nationally and in the key swing states.
And now Mike Pence went on Fox News and made one surprising admission to Sean Hannity.
The Trump campaign immediately reacted to the selection of failed Presidential candidate Kamala Harris as Joe Biden’s running mate by trying to define her as a phony indented to the radical left.
Vice President Pence tried to make that case to Sean Hannity in an interview on Hannity’s TV show.
Before lacing into Harris for her radical record Pence did confess that Harris was a skilled debater and would be a formidable candidate for when Pence and Harris squared off at the one Vice Presidential debate scheduled for Salt Lake City.
“I think she is a skilled debater, but I can’t wait to get to Salt Lake City and be on the stage –whether to compare Joe Biden’s nearly 50 years in public life, the agenda of the radical left, the agenda that she’s embraced throughout her political career — with the results of this president and this administration,” Pence explained.
After heaping praise upon Harris for her debating skills – Harris’ only moment of glory in her humiliating Presidential campaign came when she essentially accused Joe Biden of being a racist in the first Democrat debate – Pence tore into Harris and Joe Biden for the radical agenda they promise to impose on America.
“They actually want to raise taxes by $4 trillion. They want to do their own version of the Green New Deal, of a $2 trillion, massive environmental agenda,” Pence declared. “They’re going to appoint activist [judges] to our courts. They’re going to support taxpayer funding of abortion. They support open borders.”
Pence also blasted Harris and Biden for caving to the mob and supporting cutting the funding for law enforcement and enabling the violence in Democrat run cities across America.
“And the truth of the matter is, beyond all of that, with everything that’s happening in Chicago and New York and Portland and Seattle, you have in President Trump, a leader who is standing without apology with the men and women of law enforcement,” Pence added. “And in Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are Democratic Party and the radical left, you have people talking about cutting funding to law enforcement, a party that is advocating defunding law enforcement. The choice could not be clearer.”
Vice President Pence will help the President make this case to the American people over the next two and a half months.
The only question is if it will be enough to carry the President to a second term.
