This was the moment Mitt Romney was waiting for.
The diehard Never Trumper did everything in his power to sabotage President Trump.
And now Mitt Romney defected to Joe Biden with this endorsement.
The fake news media falsely claimed Joe Biden won the Presidential Election.
Once that dam broke Mitt Romney emerged from one of the multiple houses he lives in to showboat on multiple Sunday shows to try and shovel dirt on President Trump’s supposed political grave.
But like all of Romney’s political moves throughout his career, this one backfired.
Even before President Trump had the chance to make his case that if all the legal votes were counted he would have won the election Mitt Romney tweeted out congratulations to Biden by falsely calling him the President-elect despite no official certification of the results.
“Ann and I extend our congratulations to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. We know both of them as people of good will and admirable character. We pray that God may bless them in the days and years ahead,” Romney wrote on social media.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem slammed Romney ripping him as a “DC elite” and a traitor for ignoring the serious questions about the integrity of the election and voter fraud.
DC elites are eager to return to “business as usual.” Noem wrote. “The 70 million Americans who voted for @realDonaldTrump are not moving on just because the media says so. Serious election integrity concerns (read Alito’s opinion) in several states that the media should be investigating.”
But in Sunday show interviews Mitt Romney doubled down on his attacks on President Trump.
“The people in the past, like myself, who lost elections have gone on in a way that said, ‘Look, I know the eyes of the world are on us. The eyes of our own people are on the institutions that we have. The eyes of history are on us,’” Romney told “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd.
Romney outrageously claimed that President Trump must submit to calling an election legitimate before he had a chance to make his case in court about his campaign’s questions surrounding voter fraud and irregularities.
“In a setting like this, we want to preserve something which is far more important than yourself or even our party — and that is preserve the cause of freedom and democracy here and around the world,” Romney added.
Romney also falsely claimed that President gave aid and comfort to fascists around the world by raising legitimate questions about voter fraud and how ballots were counted in Democrat run cities.
“It also discourages confidence in our democratic process here at home. And with a battle going on right now between authoritarianism and freedom, why, I think it’s very important that we not use language which can encourage a course in history which would be very, very unfortunate,” Romney added.
