Nancy Pelosi is no friend of the American soldier.
Pelosi picked up where Barack Obama left off on attacking the ability of the United States Army through trying to undermine its combat readiness.
And Nancy Pelosi just attacked the U.S. military in this one way that had everyone talking treason.
During the final year of his presidency, Barack Obama handed down an order allowing so-called “transgenders” to serve in the United States military.
The military would now perform – and pick up the tab – for surgeries to turn men into women and vice-versa.
This was a clear attack on unit cohesion and the military’s ability to maintain combat readiness.
In the summer of 2017, Donald Trump announced on twitter that he would put an end to this left-wing social engineering.
“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you,” the President wrote.
The President’s order did not affect so-called “transgenders” currently serving in the military.
But it did block so-called “transgenders” from signing up or requesting sex reassignment surgery going forward.
Democrats and members of the fake news media were furious.
Liberal activists filed lawsuits to stop this policy from going into effect.
As usual, the left won its lower court victories.
But in a surprising turn of events, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that a lower court did not give enough deference to the military and lifted a district court judge’s order blocking the order.
That led Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats to take action.
Under Pelosi’s direction, the House voted to block President Trump’s transgender troop ban.
“The president and his administration wrongfully argue that it’s about military readiness and unit cohesion, but these arguments are the same ones that were made to keep the military racially segregated,” Democrat Congressman Anthony Brown of Maryland roared.
“Every service chief testified that transgender service would not disrupt unit cohesion or readiness,” Brown added.
The top Republican on the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee disagreed.
“The military is an institution with one primary mission: to fight and win our nation’s wars,” Congressman Ken Calvert argued.
“Anything that interferes with its readiness for that mission poses an unacceptable risk.”
This is little more than a legislative temper tantrum.
The Republican-controlled Senate will block this move.
But it does put Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrat caucus on record as putting identity politics and social engineering ahead of combat readiness as a priority.
Many Americans believe that is a complete betrayal of the United States military and its mission to protect the nation.
Conservative Revival will continue to cover the Democrats attempts to impose their radical social agenda on the United States military.
