Nancy Pelosi’s past is coming back to bite her.
The Speaker’s continued actions on this issue is destroying her grasp on power.
And it’s a shocking problem that could bring her reign crashing down.
The Democrats seem to be in the middle of their own #MeToo problem.
Recent allegations of sexual misconduct have come out involving Senators Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders, Virginia Democrat Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax, and Joe Biden.
Not to mention the ongoing case of Democrat donor heavyweight Harvey Weinstein.
However, one thing that is not receiving coverage is Nancy Pelosi’s long history of protecting Democrats caught up in sexual harassment complaints and, worse, crimes.
As columnist Michelle Malkin eloquently put it in a piece for Townhall, “Nancy Pelosi’s Perv Problem”
The latest beneficiary of Pelosi’s “perv problem” has been top Democrat Presidential contender for 2020, Joe Biden.
For several years, articles have been written and photos published about Biden’s penchant for pawing at young women and girls.
Now startling accusations from at least 7 women, including leading Democrat politicians, have been made accusing Biden of inappropriate sexual behavior.
To joke with the former Vice President about “pretending to have a cold” and keeping his arms straight.
It should go without saying that had these women come forward to accuse a Republican of the same actions, Pelosi—along with the rest of the Democrats—would be issuing scathing rebukes, calling for resignations, and demanding criminal trials.
However, Pelosi’s disturbing trend of defending, coddling, and protecting serial sexual assaulters and rapists within her party is at least beginning to be a cause for concern among the Democrats.
Here are just a few examples of Pelosi’s “perv” problem:
In 2017, Pelosi defiantly stood by Congressman John Conyers, even though he was accused by three former staffers of sexual abuse and agreed to a secret settlement to keep it out of court. She claimed Conyers was an “icon” who had “done a great deal to protect women.”
In 2013, her old buddy Bob Filner, the Democrat mayor of San Diego, was accused by multiple women of sexual harassment and assault. One staffer said Filner told her she had to “work without her panties on.” Others alleged he forcibly kissed and fondled them.
Pelosi’s response to her good friend’s bad behavior? “What goes on in San Diego is up to the people of San Diego. I’m not here to make any judgments.”
Pelosi also stood behind disgraced Democrat Congressman Anthony Weiner, Eric Massa—who had a weakness for young male interns, and David Wu.
As more and more comes out about Pelosi’s cover-ups and defense of the irreprehensible, expect a revolt among her party and calls to remove her from power.
