Nancy Pelosi is in deep trouble.
The Speaker of the House is facing a crisis.
Nancy Pelosi said two words about the coronavirus that instantly backfired.
Democrats and Republicans alike believe the 2020 Presidential Election will come down to voters rendering a verdict on how President Trump guided America though the coronavirus pandemic and then executed a plan to reopen the economy.
Democrats – led by Speaker Pelosi – are scheming to undermine the President on both fronts while at the same time trying to maintain a false front of bipartisanship.
The latest front in this assault on the President is the Democrats’ warnings about not reopening the economy too soon.
During a call with the Democrat caucus, Pelosi attacked the President for wanting to reopen the economy in May and his overall handling of the pandemic calling those courses charted by President Trump as “almost sinful.”
POLITICO exclusively reports:
Pelosi sharply criticized Trump’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak, telling Democrats it was “almost sinful” how his administration had failed to live up to promises to make testing available to all Americans and quickly address the mask, gown, and glove supply shortage in hospitals across the country.
“The more misrepresentations he puts out there, the more it obscures the truth,” Pelosi told Democrats, according to multiple sources on the call. “We have to insist upon the truth — what they’re saying is not knowledge, is not facts, is not real.”
After weeks of demanding the President issue a national shutdown order Democrats and their allies in the fake news media are now attacking the President for wanting to set national benchmarks to reopen the economy.
Democrats and the fake news media are setting two traps for President Trump.
First, they want the President to keep the economy shutdown indefinitely.
Over the last several weeks 20 million Americans found themselves on the unemployment lines.
Democrats hunger to see those numbers skyrocket.
The more unemployment soars and the later the economy reopens, the less of a chance there is for the economy to rebound ahead of the November election.
That would doom Donald Trump’s re-election bid and all but guarantee the Democrats win not just the Presidency, but total control of government by seizing a majority in the Senate.
The Second trap the Democrats put in place for the President is denying him any credit for the economic recovery that will undoubtedly occur.
Goldman Sachs projects an annualized GDP drop of 30 percent in the second quarter.
But in the third and fourth quarters the Wall Street giant projects historic economic growth of 12 and 19 percent.
Democrats read those reports just like everyone else and they want to seed the ground with the narrative that it is the Governors that will decide when the economy reopens so the Democrat governors of the ten largest populous states in the country – which account for 38 percent of all economic output – get the credit for the bounce back and not President Trump.
