Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans are licking their chops at contrasting their record with the Democrats’ socialist and anti-American policies in the 2020 campaign.
Now that job just got easier.
And Nancy Pelosi went berserk when she walked into this trap Trump set.
There is no longer any room in the Democrat party for anyone that doesn’t hold to their radical agenda.
They are pushing abortion so far out to the limits that they’re really talking about infanticide which is what Mitch McConnell is looking to stop.
For there are people who claim that Republicans are overreacting trying to stop infanticide, but last year Democrat Governor Ralph Northam said that doctors and mothers could make the decision to kill a child after birth.
And while Northam is radical to suggest post-birth abortions, any abortion that happens after the fetus is viable, the child could just as easily come out alive and be given to one of the many families who are waiting for a child to adopt.
While the number of late-term abortions is small compared as a percentage, 13,000 children who are aborted could survive outside of the womb.
Genetic abnormalities only make up a small minority of these abortions and cases where the mother’s life is at risk are even rarer.
And if a child is born alive after an abortion, it is not a matter of “reproductive rights” to make sure that the child actually dies. It is a matter of common decency to give that child the same chance of survival as any other child.
The Democrats can’t even claim that they are the voice of the people on this issue because the majority of Americans don’t support late-term abortions.
Mitch McConnell is looking to pass two bills in the Senate that would limit late-term abortion and infanticide.
According to the Daily Wire:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is readying the Senate to vote on two powerful pro-life bills: South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham’s Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy unless it resulted from rape, incest, or the mother’s life were endangered, and Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse’s Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which “in the case of an abortion or attempted abortion that results in a child born alive,” would ensure that a health care provider present must act to preserve the life of the child.
“Picture a baby that’s already been born,” Ben Sasse said to the Senate, “that is outside the womb, gasping for air, that’s the only thing that today’s vote is actually about. We’re talking about babies who’ve already been born. Nothing in this bill touches abortion access.”
“This hearing is about making sure that every newborn baby has a fighting chance,” the Senator continued, “whether she’s born in a labor and delivery ward or whether she’s born in an abortion clinic.”
Senator John Thune destroyed the Democrats’ radical agenda, saying, “Unfortunately abortion extremism has grown to such an extent in the Democrat Party that leading Democrats — including a Democrat presidential candidate — have not only ruled out banning late-term abortions, they’ve actually refused to rule out infanticide.”
Democrats have been claiming that Republicans are a party of hate, yet some Democrats are calling for one of the most hateful things in the world, killing innocent children.
