Documents are revealing even more lies and criminal activity committed by Barak Obama during his Presidency.
They are worse than anyone thought.
And Obama is furious because they will expose his most disgusting crimes.
We have known for quite some time that Obama lied repeatedly to the American people during his eight year reign.
Who can forget Fast and Furious, the Iranian nuclear deal, the IRS targeting conservative groups, and of course Obama’s most famous lie of all—“If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor.”
We are still suffering from the disastrous effects of Obamacare.
And the list goes on and on.
But now these declassified documents add another ominous lie to the list.
Documents now reveal what many Americans already suspected and feared—that the NSA under the Obama administration had in fact been spying on them.
According to a report in The Hill:
“The National Security Agency and FBI violated specific civil liberty protections during the Obama administration by improperly searching and disseminating raw intelligence on Americans or failing to promptly delete unauthorized intercepts, according to newly declassified memos that provide some of the richest detail to date on the spy agencies’ ability to obey their own rules.”
The memos that The Hill reviewed were publicly released through a Freedom of Information Act litigation.
And these memos detail specific violations the NSA and FBI actually disclosed to the FISA court between 2009 and 2016.
“Americans should be alarmed that the NSA is vacuuming up their emails and phone calls without a warrant,” says Patrick Toomey, an ACLU staff attorney in New York who helped pursue the FOIA litigation.
“The NSA claims it has rules to protect our privacy, but it turns out those rules are weak, full of loopholes, and violated again and again.”
This all stems from the Section 702 warrantless spying program created by Congress in 2008.
Section 702 empowered the NSA to spy on foreign powers and to retain and use certain intercepted data that was “incidentally collected” on Americans under strict privacy protections.
Wrongly collected information was supposed to be immediately destroyed.
Basically these memos reveal that, while the Obama administration repeatedly told the American people they were protecting our privacy, they were actually invading our privacy and violating the law.
The Hill went on to say there were several instances in which Americans’ names were improperly shared inside the intelligence community without being redacted—another violation of procedures that were supposed to protect Americans’ identity from disclosure when intercepted without a warrant.
While NSA and FBI officials claim these “mistakes” were small in number, they show exactly why the government should never be given the ability to spy on its own citizens.
And this violation of individual and civil rights, as well as outright violation of the law, shows just how deep the corruption ran in Obama’s administration.
We will keep you updated on this story.
