Democrats are obsessed with destroying President Trump.
And now, they’re attacking his family and business connections like never before.
But one top Pelosi ally just picked a fight with Trump that will leave his career in shambles.
Democrats hate President Trump.
They were humiliated like never before when he crushed Hillary Clinton, their crowned successor to Barack Obama in 2016.
And now, the party is trying to find any opening imaginable to attack the President, even investigating his personal life, family, friends, and business connections.
All of this is in the name of destroying the President of the United States and nothing else.
But in the quest to destroy President Trump, they may have crossed one too many red lines.
And now Trump is fighting back in a way they never thought was possible.
The court battle that is playing out now could lead to one of Pelosi’s top allies in the House of Representatives watching his career crumble around him.
“President Donald Trump’s legal team has sued House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) to block a subpoena for financial records from an accounting firm used by the Trump Organization,” reports Breitbart.
Cummings is targeting the Trump Organization, which Donald Trump ran before being elected President of the United States.
But Cummings’ real goal is just to inflict damage on the Trump administration and derail his re-election plans for 2020.
But rather than roll over and simply let Democrats like Cummings destroy the company for political reasons, the Trump Organization is punching back like never before.
They’ve gone so far as to sue Cummings himself for his attempt to use the government’s power to subpoena financial records from an accounting firm the Trump Organization uses.
And they likely have a case against Cummings as well.
“In a lawsuit filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, President Trump’s attorneys write the subpoena ‘lacks any legitimate legislative purpose, is an abuse of power, and is just another example of overreach by the president’s political opponents’,” states Breitbart.
In a statement to NBC News, Trump’s lawyer Jay Sekulow said of the lawsuit: “We will not allow congressional presidential harassment to go unanswered.”
The Trump Organization isn’t going to let Democrats tear apart their company just in the name of spiting the man who helped to build it.
Cummings should have known he crossed a line when he tried to target the company as well.
But he was so caught up in his fixation to destroy the President he didn’t realize he could be slapped with a lawsuit of his own for trying to bully a private company using the government.
The case is now heading to court where it will be decided which party prevails.
But either way, Cummings has already made a grave mistake and he hasn’t even begun to dig deep into the looming battle with the Trump Organization.
