DeSantis showed liberals who support open borders and sanctuary cities are frauds because they are fine with unchecked illegal immigration as long as rich liberals don’t have to deal with the outcome of allowing millions of illegal aliens to invade America.
Within one day of 50 illegal aliens arriving at uber-wealthy and uber-liberal Martha’s Vineyard the military showed up to eject the illegal aliens and drag to them to a U.S. Army holding facility.
Liberals cannot stand being the subject of ridicule and embarrassment.
So, the radical leftwing group Lawyers for Civil Rights pledged to sue DeSantis baselessly claiming DeSantis falsely imprisoned the illegal aliens by tricking them into getting on the plane to Martha’s Vineyard.
Lawyers for Civil Rights is a well-funded group that receives nearly $1.4 million from George Soros.

The activist group at the center of a class-action lawsuit against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and other Florida officials for migrant flights to Martha’s Vineyard has received nearly $1.4 million from George Soros’ Open Society network.
Lawyers for Civil Rights, a nonprofit immigrant advocacy group, filed the lawsuit on behalf of Alianza Americas, according to a press release Tuesday that described the latter group as “a network of migrant-led organizations supporting immigrants across the United States.”
Alianza Americas has received a total of $1,383,947 from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations between 2016 and 2020, OSF’s records show.
The grants came from three of his nonprofits: Open Society Institute, Open Society Policy Center and Foundation to Promote Open Society.
George Soros is a longtime open borders champion.
In 2016 Soros pledged a $500 million investment into aiding migrants and refugees.
Europe experienced an immigration crisis when German Chancellor Angela Merkel threw open the borders to hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees.
Merkel’s disregard for national borders led to the successful Brexit campaign and also boosted the nationalist conservative sentiment behind Donald Trump’s victorious 2016 White House bid.
In that 2016 election Soros donated $5 million to the Immigrant Voters Win Super PAC to stop Trump – whose campaign centered on building a wall along the southern border – and to elect the pro-amnesty Hillary Clinton.
Soros-funded groups suing Governor DeSantis is now a surprise.
DeSantis flying illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard and the liberal response to condemn the practice while not living up to their sanctuary state principles shot immigration to the forefront of the midterm election debate.
That’s bad news for Democrats as polls show immigration as the issue where Republicans hold their biggest lead.
Soros-funded lawyers struck back by using this lawsuit in an attempt to damage DeSantis by making false claims that would drive fake news media hoaxes and baseless negative headlines intended to hurt DeSantis’ re-election campaign.
