President Trump faced unprecedented opposition in his bid to win a second term.
And at the tail end of the election a former ally betrayed him.
Rush Limbaugh asked a question about Fox News that worried every Trump supporter.
Trump’s legal team led by Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani held a press conference at the Republican National Committee to lay out their evidence that widespread voter fraud cost Donald Trump the election.
“Well, that was certainly a colorful news conference from Rudy Giuliani, but it was light on facts. So much of what he said was simply not true or has already been thrown out in court,” Fished joked on air.
That annoyed Rush Limbaugh who wondered what happened to Fox News Channel’s slog of “we report, you decide.”
“What happened to “We report, you decide?” Sorry, slap myself. That’s too bad,” Limbaugh stated.
During the press conference Giuliani laid out his evidence of what the Trump campaign believed was fraud.
In Pennsylvania Giuliani claimed there were hundreds of thousands of ballots that should be declared illegal because the Trump campaign alleged Republican inspectors were not allowed to monitor the count to make sure these ballots were legal and the signatures and addresses matched.
“In Pennsylvania, the margin of victory now for Biden, which is not a victory; it’s a fraud — is 69,140 votes. The reality is that we are now at a count of 682,770 ballots for which we have affidavits that there was no inspection of that ballot at the time that it was entered in the vote,” Giuliani stated.
“But they were good. I don’t know that they were that good because they made significant mistakes, like all crooks do, and we caught ’em. One of them was pushing out Republican inspectors,” Giuliani added.
Giuliani claimed that Pennsylvania’s Democrat Secretary of State unilaterally and illegally wrote the state law to allow voters to “cure” their ballots – meaning making sure their addresses and signatures matched if there was an issue.
“In Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, if they noticed that there wasn’t an inner envelope, they’d contact the voter and allow ’em to vote again, or if you didn’t fill it out completely or if he made a mistake and didn’t sign his full name, he was allowed to cure it. There is no such provision under the law of Pennsylvania,” Giuliani explained.
Georgia was another state where the Trump campaign disputed the count.
Giuliani alleged that the Trump campaign was not given access to the signatures so they could ascertain if the mail in ballots that were counted were actually legal votes.
“So, for example, the recount being done in Georgia will tell us nothing because these fraudulent ballots will just be counted again because they wouldn’t supply the signatures to match the ballots,” Giuliani exclaimed.
Fox News’s White House correspondent dismissed these allegations as a joke.
This was an example of what Rush Limbaugh said was Fox News betraying its base.
And it’s a big reason Fox News Channel’s ratings are down since Election Night.
