Democrats are learning a very hard lesson in the 2020 presidential campaign.
From Barack Obama on down, the left all thought Donald Trump was a goner.
But Rush Limbaugh gave the Democrats this bad news about why President Trump will win in 2020.
There has been a massive shakeup in the Democratic Party presidential primary.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren was leading in the field last month.
But her support cratered.
In addition, socialist Senator Bernie Sanders has failed to surge at any point in the campaign.
The candidate now rocketing to the top of the polls is South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg who is presenting himself as a “moderate” in the race.
During a recent broadcast of his program, Limbaugh explained why Warren tanked and Sanders failed to gain altitude – namely that their support for a socialist takeover of healthcare made Democrat voters realize they are unelectable.
“Medicare for All, the primary feature of it that everybody, when they learn about it, is opposed to, it would get rid of employer-based insurance. One hundred and sixty million Americans have their health insurance at work. Medicare for All would get rid of it. Medicare for All is just a new word for government-run health care. Single payer, whatever you want to call it,” Limbaugh began.
Limbaugh explained that not only would a socialist takeover of healthcare result in massive tax increases on poor and middle-class Americans, but it would decimate cities in key swing states that depend on the insurance industry for jobs.
Warren and Sanders’ government-run healthcare scheme would decimate these communities by eliminating those jobs when their plan to ban private insurance went into effect.
“Look at Cleveland and the Cleveland Clinic. Now, you go to Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh is a former steel town. I lived there for five years in the early 1970s, and it was still pumping steel. It had been cleaned up from what it was in the fifties and sixties, but it was still known as a steel town. And many of the mills were still running. But then they eventually shut down and Pittsburgh went through a renaissance,” Limbaugh continued.
“And one of the renaissances that has occurred in Pittsburgh is the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. It has created the bulk of the new private sector jobs in Pittsburgh, and it’s massive. I mean, even the University of Pittsburgh football team the Pittsburgh Steelers practice at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center sports complex. Now, it’s a naming rights thing, but it’s right there. UPMC is all over town. Just like the Cleveland Clinic is all over Cleveland, we’ve got a satellite office of the Cleveland Clinic here right across the bridge over in West Palm Beach,” Limbaugh concluded.
Democrat primary voters are manically focused on so-called “electability” this cycle.
Any candidate supporting a socialist healthcare scheme that kills tens of thousands of jobs in key swing states stands no chance to win a general election.
And Democrat voters are rejecting these openly left-wing extremists for stealth socialists.
