The Democrat Presidential primary is hitting crunch time.
There are just days left before the first votes in Iowa and no candidate can afford a disaster.
And this sex scandal from Joe Biden’s past just came back to bite him at the worst possible time.
Former Vice President Joe Biden faced skepticism from multiple corners of the Democrat Party when he entered the Presidential contest.
Younger leftists favored more socialist candidates like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
But another group also kept Biden at a distance – “woke” feminists believe the “patriarchy” holds them down and needs to be overthrown.
From the day Biden announced, some female voters viewed Biden skeptically because they resent the fact that when Biden was the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman in 1991, Biden did not sink Clarence Thomas’s Supreme Court nomination after Anita Hill came forward with false allegations of sexual harassment.
Thomas called the accusations and subsequent hearing a “high tech lynching for uppity blacks” and eventually won confirmation on what was at the time the narrowest vote in Senate history.
As Thomas became one of the great Supreme Court justices in American history, the left’s anger at Biden only grew.
After Biden announced his candidacy Anita Hill reappeared on the scene to continue making false allegations about the hearings.
With just days left before the February 3 Iowa Caucuses, Hill is appearing in Iowa doing whatever she can to sink Biden.
Appearing at the University of Iowa as part of the school’s Martin Luther King, Jr. week, Hill attacked Biden saying the time for Biden to apologize has long since passed.
“The statute of limitations for his apology is up,” Hill hysterically ranted. “Here is what I want now … What are you going to do about it? What are you going to do today? Will you promise as leader of this country … would you promise to use all of your energy to address the problem as it happened and to prevent it from happening to another generation? That’s what I want to hear. And I not only want to hear from him, I want to hear from every one of them who want to be the leader of this country.”
Hill also attacked the idea floated by many in the Democrat Party establishment that Hill should let bygones be bygones and embrace Biden since party elites believed Biden was the party’s strongest general election candidate.
“I was criticized because I didn’t immediately open my arms and embrace him [and say], ‘OK, I forgive you,’” Hill claimed. “One of the reasons I didn’t was because I didn’t think it was enough.”
Polls show Joe Biden is in a neck and neck race in Iowa with socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
The final week of any race is when voters really make up their minds and the negative headlines from this story could make Biden too big a risk in the minds of some voters and move on to other candidates.
