What happened to Brett Kavanaugh 12 months ago is something that no decent person should ever have to live through.
Justice Clarence Thomas equated the Kavanaugh affair to the “high-tech lynching” he endured back in the ‘90s while defending himself against baseless accusations from Anita Hill.
And now the Brett Kavanaugh horror show is happening for another Trump Judge pick.
Once you see what the left-wing radicals are prepared to do so they can resist Trump and his quest to Make America Great Again, you’ll realize how evil they are.
This time, it’s one of Trump’s nominees for a seat on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals that’s on the receiving end of an unfair attack.
Instead of trying to portray him as a sexual deviant, they’re using their favorite new tactic of trying to paint this man as a racist and a misogynist.
In what amounts to another smear campaign, judicial nominee Steven Menashi’s writings from more than a decade ago are being scrutinized for hidden racist undertones.
Rachel Maddow picked up one of Menashi’s articles and only skimmed through it long enough to make an argument that Menashi is a white nationalist; all because he believes in ethnonationalism.
On her show, Maddow berated Menashi by saying, “Are you talking about what I think you’re talking about? Oh, yes, you are.”
She went on to claim his article, “ends with this sort of war cry about how a country can’t work, how definitely democracy can’t work unless the country is defined by a unifying race.”
The only problem?
Menashi can’t be a white nationalist.
He’s of Iraqi descent and claims Judaism as a religion.
And anyone with half a brain will realize that white nationalism and Middle Eastern descent and religious influence don’t mix.
What Menashi’s article does talk about is that if Israel is to be united as one, then everyone who lives in Israel needs to be reconciled to the truth that if Israel is going to be recognized as a Jewish state, then those living there need to believe in fundamental liberal democratic ideals.
FOX News writes in his defense, “[Menashi] argues that Israel being a Jewish state is no different than other countries establishing a state for citizens of a common origin. While Israel does grant preference to Jews when it comes to granting citizenship, he argues once people are citizens of Israel, they enjoy equal rights regardless of religion or country of origin.”
For Maddow and her other left-wing cronies to malign Menashi and claim he’s a white nationalist because he thinks people living in Israel should share the same beliefs in Democracy is despicable.
But Maddow’s not concerned about the truth.
Just like the left attempted to vilify Kavanaugh, they’re trying to make Menashi appear to be a monster based on lies.
More proof of that is evident in Maddow claiming Menashi wrote a book endorsing dipping bullets in pig fat before the U.S. battled with Muslims.
However, lawyer Ed Whelan, writing for the National Review, clearly showed that was a deceitful claim as well when he said, “Nowhere in his book review does Menashi argue in favor of such anti-terrorism tactics.”
Whelan wrote, “On the contrary, he faults the author whose book he is reviewing for promoting a view of American power that ‘would divorce itself from a special concern for human rights’ and for amorally ‘sanction[ing] brutal tactics for maintaining order.'”
It’s clear to see that the Democrats are frustrated with how much Trump wins.
Sadly, their unhinged actions hurt others, and they need to stop unless they’re ready for the blowback.
