Trump recently received some bad news from his doctors.
He never expected this to happen.
But the left’s response to Trump’s diagnosis is utterly shocking.
Recent reports have come forward saying that President Trump has tested positive for coronavirus.
But while most people are worried for the President, his family, and the future of the country, the left is celebrating.
That is correct, people are celebrating the fact that the President is sick with a deadly disease.
The flood of tweets wishing that Trump will die is astounding.
Below are just a few examples of the countless tweets that have surfaced in response to the President’s suffering.
Daniel Golson: “I don’t feel bad about hoping he dies because I’ve been hoping that since 2015.”
@simonsaybrams: “For once, I’m rooting for the virus.”
@GoldyHA: “No, but seriously, I hope he dies.”
@SeanMBurns: “A nice thing about this is that he’s still around to see how happy we’re all going to be when he dies.”
@alexblagg: “Just a quick note of support for Hope Hicks and President Trump I hope they both die.”
@Rob_Hoffman: “Trump has COVID. If it kills him, he deserves it. Every painful minute.”
@chastitysongs: “time to die please.”
And these are just a few tamer examples of the vitriol being spit Trump’s way.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Even noteworthy Democrats and people in power are wishing Trump will suffer.
Zara Rahim, former National Spokeswoman for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and Obama White House staffer, tweeted:
“It’s been against my moral identity to tweet this for the past four years, but I hope he dies.”
The only question I have and that people everywhere must ask is this: are we a kind of nation who wishes death and suffering upon those we disagree with?
People are firing insult after insult, hate upon hate at this man who is now suffering.
Has politics sunk so low that we cheer for the death of someone with a different viewpoint?
The overwhelmingly poisonous response from the left is terrifying to say the least.
This virus has caused incalculable pain and suffering and the people who are declaring these awful things are blaming Trump for that pain.
In reality, it is impossible to predict cataclysmic events such as this.
It is impossible to understand how a new virus will react.
It is impossible to plan for every eventuality.
And if anything, this pandemic has shown that the inner workings of American government are not equipped to deal with destructive events such as these.
President Trump did what he could to combat the virus, but the government worked against him.
Now is not a time for hate.
Now is a time to unite and try to make America a better place.
