Donald Trump promised the American people he would restore the U.S. military to glory after Barack Obama allowed it to atrophy.
The President tried to keep his word by providing record budgets to the armed forces so they could secure America from any foreign threat.
And the U.S. military informed Donald Trump of some bad news about one mistake.
Donald Trump raised the ire of the Washington swamp last February when he declared a national emergency which allowed him access to over three billion dollars in military construction funds to go toward a border wall.
“We’re going to confront the national security crisis on our southern border, and we’re going to do it one way or the other,” the President declared at the time.
President Trump explained a wall was necessary because “We have an invasion of drugs and criminals coming into our country.”
Anti-American open borders and radical environmentalist activists sued to stop the President from using military funds for the wall.
But while the Supreme Court lifted a ban on the President accessing military construction funds to build the wall, the case is still making its way through the courts.
And in a recent court filing the Pentagon announced it had to cancel 20 miles of wall construction in Arizona by clawing back the funding for Air Force construction projects.
The Defense Department explained this was necessary because the costs for the wall construction were higher than initially projected.
Anti-Trump forces in Washington and around the county cheered this development.
Democrats, fake news reporters and Never Trump Republicans know the wall was Donald Trump’s core campaign promise in 2016.
It was the foundation of the “Make America Great Again” agenda.
The President’s promised to build around 450 miles of new wall by 2020.
Every delay or setback that forces the administration to scale down the anticipated wall construction allows President Trump’s enemies to falsely claim he isn’t following through on his pledge to build a wall.
The fake news media already employs this lie when covering the wall construction.
So-called “reporters” claim there is no new wall being built, just replacement wall.
But the “replacement” wall is 20 foot high steel.
In many cases it is replacing vehicle barriers or waist-high barriers that illegal aliens could easily climb over.
There are already dozens of miles of this new replacement wall built.
And the President’s opponents in Washington and the fake news media understand that if Donald Trump campaigns for re-election with 450 miles of border wall in the backdrop of his campaign commercials, American people will reward the President for coming through on his number one campaign promise.
Democrats and their assorted allies believe that if the wall isn’t built, or if it is more meager than President Trump promised, that his supporters’ enthusiasm deflates and a good chunk of Trump voters will stay home on Election Day allowing the Democrat nominee to seize the White House.
