A Top Democrat has thrown the whistleblower under the bus.
He has ruined any chance of a serious impeachment inquiry.
The whistleblower has been totally destroyed by this one shocking statement.
None of the information that has come out about the whistleblower has been good for Nancy Pelosi’s partisan witch hunt that she is calling an impeachment inquiry.
The whistleblower works for the CIA and had no firsthand information on the phone call.
The whistleblower was not just a run of the mill Democrat who was biased against Trump.
The Whistleblower had a professional relationship with one of the 2020 Democratic candidates who is seeking to replace Trump.
The Ukraine scandal has taken out Joe Biden, who used to be the frontrunner and made Elizabeth Warren the probable choice of the Democratic Party.
The Democrats want to keep that the whistleblower was professionally involved as quiet as possible.
And the news media is helping them by avoiding the topic altogether as neither the Washington Post nor the New York Times reported on the whistleblower’s ties to Trump’s rival candidate.
The whistleblower has become a political liability to the Democrats who have jumped from saying that the whistleblower has important information to saying that he is useless overnight because they want to avoid Republicans having the chance to question him.
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) went as far as to say on national television that the whistleblower shouldn’t be questioned because he had nothing useful to say.
Raskin said that the White House officials had “corroborated everything that the whistleblower was saying.”
Raskin seems to think that the White House released information that proved that Trump was guilty.
This is obviously untrue. The transcript of the phone call did not show any quid pro quo that the whistleblower alleged took place.
But that isn’t stopping Raskin from coming to the conclusion that Trump’s guilt is so obvious that, “At this point, the critical thing is that all of the testimony is lining up. All of it corroborates the initial statement.”
He continued, “There might be a few interpretive differences, but essentially everybody is telling us the same thing, which is the phone call was just the tip of the iceberg on July 25. What was underneath it was a very deliberate, premeditated strategy by the president of the United States to withhold $391 million in military and security assistance in order to shake down the Ukrainian government for the political favors he wanted, as well as for a number of other things that are starting to come out now.”
The only thing that has obviously come out of the impeachment inquiry is that Democrats haven’t been able to find out anything more damning than the call transcript that Trump released himself.
If the whistleblower had anything that would help the Democrats, Nancy Pelosi would have him up on the House floor tomorrow.
They are trying to protect themselves by keeping him from testifying to Congress.
Do you think that the whistleblower should have to testify to Congress and answer questions about his conflicts of interest?
