Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez bit off way more than she could chew.
The freshman Congresswoman picked a fight that blew up in her face.
And a group of military heroes just smacked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with this nasty surprise.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s home turf in the Bronx is one of the most Democratic Congressional districts in America.
So when Ocasio-Cortez met with Community Board 11 for a closed door question and answer session, Ocasio-Cortez was naturally expecting a friendly chat.
But it did not go well.
During the meeting, Ocasio-Cortez fielded questions about America’s foreign policy and renaming Columbus Day for Native American Indians.
Ocasio-Cortez launched into the typical liberal rant about how America is a force of evil on the world stage.
The controversial Democrat berated President Trump for supposedly “fueling” the civil war in Yemen.
And she refused to commit on keeping Columbus Day named for Christopher Columbus.
That’s because social justice warriors believe Columbus was an evil, racist white male who oppressed Native American Indians and set in motion the process that led to Europeans stealing “their” land.
But Ocasio-Cortez’s anti-American rants did not sit well a trio of military veterans in attendance.
These heroes got up and walked right out on Ocasio-Cortez.
“She knocks the country, she knocks the president. And that’s not what America is about,” Silvio Mazzella – who fought in Vietnam – told a New York Post reporter.
“Talking about America, that really turned me off completely,” Mazzella added.
Mazzella was not the only vet infuriated by Ocasio-Cortez running down America.
“I just couldn’t hear her BS anymore,” said Anthony Vitaliano whom, in addition to serving in the Army, was also the former chairman of Community Board 11.
“I just got up, got my umbrella in my hand and walked right out.”
Vitaliano also told the Post that he questioned Ocasio-Cortez’s commitment to the local issues raised by her constituents.
“Did she care about the issues? She wrote them down,” Vitaliano reported. “The jury will be out on the local issues.”
And Ocasio-Cortez’s spokesman only inflamed the story by later claiming no one walked out of the event.
“The only person that left the meeting while it was underway was someone who had to go pick up their children,” spokesman Corbin Trent told the Post.
But instead of cooling things down, Trent’s statement raised even more tensions between Ocasio-Cortez and the veterans.
Vitaliano did not take well to being called a liar.
“That’s bulls–t. Everybody that was there knows I walked out,” Vitaliano shot back.
The surest way for a politician to find themselves in trouble is to attack veterans.
By calling the men liars, Ocasio-Cortez’s team called into question the veterans honor and integrity.
And that won’t sit well with the Americans who place a high value on the sacrifice veterans make while serving the nation.
