Even Democrats cannot deny the crisis that Joe Biden personally caused.
Governors are being forced to take matters into their own hands.
This emergency declaration exposed a crisis that is making Joe Biden pace the floor.
Arizona Republican Governor Doug Ducey announced Tuesday that he is declaring a state of emergency because of the illegal immigration crisis on our Southern border.
“The situation in our border communities is just as bad, if not worse, than the coverage we’ve been seeing,” Ducey said in a statement Tuesday, noting that the ongoing border crisis has largely disappeared from national headlines, even though the flow of migrants across the United States’ southern border has not abated.
“It’s become evidently clear that Arizona needs the National Guard, and the White House is aware of that. Yet, to this day, there has been no action from this administration, and it doesn’t look like they are going to act any time soon,” he added. “If this administration isn’t going to do anything, then we will.”
Fox News reported that Ducey had been considering National Guard since March .
“Deployment of the National Guard is critical to dealing with this crisis, and we are actively engaged in planning with the Guard,” a spokesman for the governor reportedly told the network last week.
“The Guard will be involved with installing and maintaining border cameras, collecting data, analyzing imagery for trends in border crossings, and helping with operations at detention centers,” Ducey’s office told Fox.
Arizona’s Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly supported the decision since visiting the Yuma Sector and seeing how the Border Patrol had been overwhelmed.
“There are important missions that the Arizona National Guard can perform at the border and the governor calling them up will provide assistance to both local law enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security,” Kelly added in his own statement on the matter.
Even President Joe Biden admitted that the surge in illegal immigration was a “crisis” though later White House press Secretary Jen Psaki, tried to correct his words.
“The president does not feel that children coming to our border seeking refuge from violence, economic hardships, and other dire circumstances is a crisis,” she said.
Former President Donald Trump told Fox News that the border crisis is so severe that it could “destroy our country.”
“People are pouring in. But you’ll see something as the months go by like you’ve never seen before. Already it’s like you’ve never seen before. There’s never been anything like what’s happened at our border. And people are coming in by the tens of thousands.” Trump said.
“They’re walking in … all they had to do was leave it alone,” Trump continued. “If he’d left it alone, we were setting record positive numbers. And people would have to come in legally. And, you know, the other thing that people don’t talk about you, human trafficking and drugs. That’s double, triple, then quadruples coming in because that’s pouring in right now. Drugs are pouring in.”
