The fake news media, Joe Biden campaign and the Democrat Party want to frame the 2020 election as a referendum on Donald Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
They just got some bad news.
And that’s because this lie about the coronavirus just backfired on Joe Biden in one way no one expected.
Bob Woodward recently released his newest book, Rage, as the pandemic began to retreat and the American people grew increasingly tired of the social distancing restrictions..
And this book is supposed to set a fire under Trump’s feet.
In it, Woodward supposedly reveals many “inside details” about Trump’s presidency.
The most shocking – and attention-grabbing – is the fact that Trump apparently withheld information from the American people concerning the coronavirus.
Woodward is using this to blame Trump for the deaths of Americans caused by the virus.
He is also using this as a way to scare people and convince them another four years of Trump in the White House is bad for America.
He released a soundbite taken from an interview with the President last winter, when fear of the virus was highest.
The President stated:
“I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”
Now, Woodward and the Democrats have taken this quote as a demonstration of Trump’s lies.
However, this quote reveals nothing of the sort.
In fact, it reveals the exact opposite.
Trump was not hiding information, he was trying to prevent mass panic.
Seeing how quickly people fell to panic hoarding and selfishness, this was a good move.
It is difficult to imagine how much worse the public would have responded to such terrifying news right away.
In addition to Woodward’s accusations, Joe Biden jumped on the blame train as soon as the info was released.
Biden attempted to blame Trump for all the deaths caused by coronavirus.
He furiously tried to make Trump seem uncaring, callous, and idiotic, even going so far as to almost accuse the President of murder.
The deaths caused by COVID-19 are terrible and tragic. The nation has not faced a pandemic such as this in over a century.
And while America did not respond perfectly, Trump is far from blame.
He stepped up to combat the virus and provide aid to the people when the Democrats refused to.
And now Biden is trying to throw Trump under the bus, blaming him for all the stuff he himself did.
Biden tweeted in February:
“We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus. We need to lead the way with science — not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering. He is the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health emergency.”
Victoria Taft, a writer for PJMedia, wrote an excellent response to this tweet, stating:
“It was Biden who had previously said that he didn’t want Trump in charge of the coronavirus message because he would panic people. It was at the same time that Biden twice called Trump a xenophobe after Trump’s ban on travel from China, where the virus started.”
“Biden’s usual flip-flopping since the outbreak of the virus notwithstanding, he should ask this question of Bob Woodward: If this so-called lack of information cost American lives, then why did Bob Woodward withhold this life saving information till just mere weeks before the election?”
This is an excellent question.
This information was released not to save lives, but to breed fear.
This fear has no root and thus will wither and die in front of the light of truth.
