Democrats woke up to a massive political problem on their hands.
That became clear in an instant.
Trey Gowdy made this top Democrat wish they never opened their mouth on national TV.
Democrats and the media elevated socialist Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush to the face of the party after Bush slept on the Capitol steps for multiple days forcing Joe Biden to issue an illegal order seizing federal control of the vast majority of rental properties in America.
That decision backfired on the Democrats.
In an interview with CBS News, Bush was asked about her support for defunding the police while at the same time spending $70,000 on private security.
A snarling and enraged Bush shouted into the camera that her life was more important than regular Americans, so they needed to suck it up and deal with the fact she deserved armed guards because defunding the police needed to happen.
“I’m gonna make sure I have security because I know I have had attempts on my life, and I have too much work to do, there are too many people that need help right now for me to allow that. So if I end up spending $200,000, if I end up spending $10 more on it, you know what? I get to come out and get to be here to do the work, so suck it up and defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police and put the money into social safety nets because we’re trying to save lives,” Bush shouted into the camera.
In an appearance on Fox News Gowdy ripped into Bush for declaring that she needed private security to protect her life and police to investigate threats against her, but everyday Americans needed to suffer the ravages of rising crime rates that occurred once cities defunded the police.
“The single most illogical interview I think I have ever seen. She says she’s the victim of a crime, and then in the next sentence she wants to defund the group that would investigate whether or not she’s the victim of a crime. Who does she think investigates threats against public officials? It’s not psychologists! And then she says I’m gonna be safe, but you’re on your own and I want my body safe on this planet but good luck to you on Neptune. It is illogical, but transparent. She was very clear, and we’re gonna see that tape again,” Gowdy added.
Jen Psaki and other Democrats tried to make the argument it was actually Republicans that supported defunding police.
Cori Bush torched that lie on live TV and made it clear that the new voices of the Democrat Party support defunding the police.
