Fox News has changed a lot from where it was during the 2016 election.
It used to be the only network that was fair to Trump, only for them to change rapidly.
And Trump just declared all-out war on Fox News with a brutal attack they won’t forget.
President Trump has been increasingly unhappy with Fox News.
They now mirror all of the same baseless attacks that come from fervently anti-Trump networks like CNN and MSNBC.
Trump has even taken to his Twitter account to blast the network on numerous occasions.
He did just that by targeting Fox News host Shannon Bream for interviewing Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell.
“Why do Shannon Bream and Fox News waste airtime on Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, who recently left the Presidential Primaries having attained a grand number of ZERO in the polls,” Trump tweeted. “I don’t even know how that is possible. Fox should stay with the people that got them there, not losers!”
Swalwell’s interview with Bream was as bad as one would guess it was.
The Democrat Congressman parroted every anti-Trump talking point relating to impeachment that has been disproven.
He pushed the discredited idea that Trump threatened Ukraine’s President with a “quid pro quo” agreement in order to force him to investigate Joe Biden.
In reality, Trump simply mentioned Biden due to Ukraine’s new President making fighting corruption a priority, and there have been a lot of questions regarding potential corruption relating to Biden’s son’s business interests in Ukraine.
Biden even bragged about getting a prosecutor who was investigating a company his son was on the board of fired.
Swalwell alleges that Trump demanded the investigation, threatening to withhold military aid if they did not, stating that “the only reason aid was released was because the whistleblower came forward.”
But in reality, testimony from U.S. Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland proves that Trump never wanted a “quid pro quo.”
“I want nothing. I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo. Tell Zelensky to do the right thing,” Sondland recalled from a call with Trump relating to Ukraine.
To her credit, Bream did fire back at Swalwell, despite not mentioning Sondland’s testimony.
Bream told Swalwell to “remember that President Zelensky has publicly said numerous times he felt no pressure, did not feel anything from that call that would amount to pressure, bribery, to a quid pro quo.”
That’s when Swalwell fired back with his most ridiculous claim yet.
“He was a new president who needed a meeting with the United States and people in Ukraine were dying every day that they did not have that assistance,” Swalwell said.
Bream hit back, disputing the claim that people died because of Trump, especially considering that there was no gap in aid to the nation.
“That is false,” Swalwell responded incorrectly. “Ambassador Taylor testified that undoubtedly Ukrainians were dying because of not having the assistance that they needed.”
Bream did hit back on that claim, stating that the aid was due on September 30th, and that it was received by Ukraine before then.
So it is true that Bream fired back at Swalwell.
But Trump is upset that she even spoke to somebody with such a history of misbehavior without even bringing his credibility into question.
Do you think Trump was right to criticize Shannon Bream?
