Mike Bloomberg’s campaign is going down the drain faster than he can spend his money.
His hope to buy out the election outright has hit a major roadblock.
Donald Trump uncovered an illegal scheme that has Mike Bloomberg panicking.
The country will soon see if the Democratic primary is able to be bought for money.
Bloomberg has $60 billion dollars. The final price for the presidential and congressional elections combined was $6.5 billion.
There’s a reason that he’s the only Democrat without a donate button on his page. He doesn’t need more money because he already has more money than he needs.
Iceland’s GDP for the whole country, for an entire year, is less than half of Bloomberg’s personal fortune.
Now if Bloomberg was just using his vast fortune to fund his campaign there would be no problem because he has a right to do what he wants with the money that he earned.
But that’s not the way that Bloomberg has been using his wealth.
Mike Bloomberg is the single most important Democratic donor, according to the New York Times.
But his generosity increased greatly in 2019 as he gave $3.3 billion to charity.
That was more than the past three years combined.
That’s enough money to fund Democrats fully for an entire election year. It’s no wonder that establishment Democrats have dropped Biden as their favorite when Mike Bloomberg came on the scene.
Bloomberg has enough money that he could make sure that the Democrats can outspend Republicans in every House and Senate race if he’s the nominee.
If he’s funding the large portion of the Democratic Party, it’s a conflict of interest if he’s asking them to endorse him.
Trump called him out on the underhanded relationship between him and the Democrats’ leadership.
According to The Daily Wire:
President Donald Trump accused Democrat presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg on Tuesday of engaging in a “large-scale illegal campaign contribution.”
“What Mini Mike is doing is nothing less than a large scale illegal campaign contribution,” Trump tweeted. “He is ‘spreading’ money all over the place, only to have recipients of his cash payments, many former opponents, happily joining or supporting his campaign. Isn’t that called a payoff?”
“Mini is illegally buying the Democrat Nomination,” Trump continued. “They are taking it away from Bernie again. Mini Mike, Major Party Nominations are not for sale! Good luck in the debate tomorrow night and remember, no standing on boxes!”
Bloomberg, who responded on Twitter, did not deny the vague allegation from Trump that he was engaged in illegal campaign activities but instead suggested that Trump was wanting to run against socialist Bernie Sanders.
“Why do you want to run against Bernie so badly?” Bloomberg responded.
Trump replied, “Mini Mike. No, I would rather run against you!”
If there is a brokered convention, Mike Bloomberg may very well be the nominee just because Democrats want his money.
The problem is that Mike Bloomberg’s money is causing the Democrats problems because a certain portion of the party considers it evil that there are billionaires.
It was easier for the Democrats when they could just get Bloomberg’s wealth with no strings attached.
