Next to President Trump, there may be nobody the left hates more than Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Despite months-long smear campaigns to destroy his reputation, he is on the Supreme Court.
And Trump just sent Kavanaugh a request that liberals are going to hate.
Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh has been able to overcome everything the left has thrown at him.
They forced him through hell to get where he is, and now that he’s on the highest court in the land he is quickly getting his revenge.
An upcoming court case will give him the opportunity to truly get back at the liberals who tried to destroy his life.
The Supreme Court will be required to rule on Louisiana’s Act 620, which requires abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.
This is an extremely important law considering the high levels of medical emergencies that occur during abortions.
But an abortion clinic and two physicians are challenging the law, claiming two of Louisiana’s three abortion clinics will close if it takes effect, as it places an “undue burden” on clinics.
That’s why President Trump is firing back, with his Administration filing an amicus brief supporting the law, where he asks the Supreme Court to uphold it.
“Because plaintiffs challenging an abortion regulation bear the ‘burden to present evidence of causation’ — that is, evidence that the regulation itself, rather than other causes, had ‘the effect’ of creating a substantial obstacle to obtaining an abortion — any assertion that abortion providers are unable to comply with a regulation must be subject to searching review,” the government’s brief reads.
“Otherwise, abortion providers could effectively veto disfavored legislation by asserting that compliance is too difficult or objectionable and threatening to leave practice if forced to follow the law,” it adds.
Essentially the argument made by the Trump Administration is that the clinics have made no effort to comply with the law, which makes their potential closures their fault, not the state’s.
In making their argument, they reference evidence in a lower court for the case, where one abortion provider admits that a local hospital offered to grant admitting privileges if they could find a “covering doctor” to stand in as a backup if the only other physician at the clinic is not available.
The abortion clinic in question also admitted that they made no effort to find a covering doctor, which the Trump administration claims is proof that they have not made a serious effort to comply.
Another abortion provider in question made their complaint after applying for admitting privileges to only one of nine hospitals that would qualify.
It is clear that President Donald Trump is willing to fight for this issue.
And Justice Brett Kavanaugh will certainly be a major ally for him in this fight.
But to many, it doesn’t go far enough.
Many of Trump’s supporters want the Supreme Court to reverse the infamous Roe v. Wade decision, which makes it impossible to outright ban abortion.
