Donald Trump and his supporters pushed Congress to get to the bottom of Obamagate.
That put the spotlight squarely on one Senator with the power to expose former President Barack Obama’s crimes.
And Donald Trump couldn’t believe what he heard this Republican say about investigating Obama.
RINO Senator Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham spent the last few years talking a big game about investigating the Obama administration spying on the Trump campaign and trying to frame Trump and his associates for working as Russian agents.
But despite all of Graham’s threats – which were largely made on Fox News interviews so Graham could shore up his position with a wary GOP base to ward off a 2020 primary challenge – Graham hasn’t lifted a finger to expose Barack Obama and his Deep State allies criminal acts.
President Trump finally had enough.
The combination of Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grennell declassifying the list of Obama officials that unmasked Michael Flynn and the fact that Barack Obama attended a January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting where James Comey discussed how to frame Michael Flynn led Trump to demand Graham subpoena Obama to testify about this scandal.
“If I were a Senator or Congressman, the first person I would call to testify about the biggest political crime and scandal in the history of the USA, by FAR, is former President Obama. He knew EVERYTHING. Do it @LindseyGrahamSC, just do it. No more Mr. Nice Guy. No more talk!” the President wrote on social media.
But now that Lindsey Graham is past any chance of a primary challenge he is reverting back to his RINO establishment type.
Graham told the press he would allegedly look at how the Obama administration tried to frame Carter Page and Michael Flynn as Russian agents.
“I issued a statement about that. We will be conducting oversight of all Crossfire Hurricane beginning the first week of June, I think. [We’ll be] starting with the Flynn case, then we’ll look at the Carter Page warrant application,” Graham began.
“We’ll be calling all the people who signed the warrant and we’ll be asking questions like “should there have ever been a Mueller investigation?” and “Was there ever really any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia?” Graham added.
But Graham made it clear that he would not investigate Barack Obama or call him to testify.
“As to unmasking, we’ll be asking questions about that regarding Gen. Flynn. But as I said in my statement, no president’s above the law, but we do have separations of powers and I think it could be a bad precedent to compel a former president to come before the Congress,” Graham stated.
“That would open up a can of worms, and for a variety of reasons, I don’t think that’s a good idea. But we will do a lot of oversight over all things Crossfire Hurricane,” Graham concluded.
