Trucker Carlson is one of Donald Trump’s strongest supporters on the Fox News Channel.
Democrats and fake news critics are looking for any hint of dissension between Donald Trump and his backers.
And then Tucker Carlson admitted one fact about Trump that left jaws on the ground.
Magazine ‘Christianity Today’ kicked off a national firestorm when it published a pro-Democrat Party op-ed calling for Donald Trump to be removed either through impeachment or at the ballot box in 2020.
In an absurd editorial, Christianity Today argued that the liberals approval was more important than ending the Holocaust of abortion or ending the secular left’s war on Christianity in America.
Tucker Carlson addressed this op-ed – which comes amid a three-year undercurrent of fake news reporters wondering what it would take for Christians to break with Trump – and explained why evangelicals strongly back Donald Trump despite his imperfect personal life.
“They were similarly impressed when the magazine Christianity Today after bashing the Trump administration for not admitting more refugees into the country called for the president to be removed from office for being immoral. Christians, the magazine proclaimed, have a moral duty to align with the party that openly despises Christians,” Carlson began.
Carlson explained that the leadership class on the left is increasingly secular and increasingly hostile to Christians and their world view.
“The people who are, who are overwhelmingly white and have credentials from the Ivy League, where are they? Well, they’re not just irreligious, many of them are aggressively anti-Christian and that may be why they want to force the Catholic Charities, for example, to fund birth control and Catholic hospitals to perform abortions,” Carlson added.
So to Carlson, it was simple common sense – Christians stuck by Donald Trump because he promised to protect their values.
“So, if you’re wondering why so many Christians have been willing to support this president despite his personal lives, this is why. It’s because whatever his flaws he’s made it clear that he’s not the enemy of Christians. In fact, under certain circumstances he will protect Christians,” Carlson concluded.
In 2016, Donald Trump won 81 percent of the white evangelical Christian vote.
The 2020 election is looking like a contest that will be decided by which party supercharges their own voter base turnout.
That’s why the fake news media is so invested in driving a wedge between Donald Trump and his evangelical Christian base.
Fake news reporters don’t care about the future of Christianity in America.
In fact, they would be thrilled to see Christian beliefs stamped out of America all together.
Fake news reporters relentlessly promoted the Christianity Today editorial even though evangelical leaders like Franklin Graham – son of the magazine’s founder, Billy Graham – said it was outrageous that the Christian magazine took the side of the Democrats in a partisan impeachment witch hunt.
