Instead, Tucker Carlson explained that Obama’s new goal is censoring as much conservative speech online as possible to maintain the Democrats’ grip on power.
Obama made this clear during a major speech on so-called “disinformation” at Stanford University.
During the speech Obama whined Big Tech currently did not censor enough speech.
“But while content moderation can limit the distribution of clearly dangerous content, it doesn’t go far enough. Users who want to spread disinformation have become experts at pushing right up to the line of what at least published company policies allow. And at those margins, social media platforms tend not to want to do anything, not just because they don’t want to be accused of censorship, because they still have a financial incentive to keep as many users engaged as possible,” Obama claimed.
Obama then compared Trump supporters to Vladimir Putin.
“People like Putin, and Steve Bannon for that matter, understand it’s not necessary for people to believe this information in order to weaken democratic institutions. You just have to flood a country’s public square with enough raw sewage. You just have to raise enough questions, spread enough dirt, plant enough conspiracy theorizing, that citizens no longer know what to believe,” Obama added.
Carlson blasted the contents of Obama’s speech as un-American.
The popular Fox News host began by noting that Obama’s speech suffered from the same lack of self-awareness as a conference on the so-called “misinformation” epidemic that the University of Chicago hosted where Russian collusion hoaxers took the stage to warn about conspiracy theories and misinformation online.
“Barack Obama gave a big speech at Stanford yesterday on ‘disinformation,’” Carlson said. ‘Now, like the Atlantic magazine’s conference on disinformation at the University of Chicago, the conference was all about promoting disinformation, but because self-awareness has been banned, nobody noticed.”
Barack Obama was the king of misinformation when he served as president.
Obama sold his two crowning achievements – Obamacare and the 2015 Iran nuclear deal – to the American people on the backs of lies.
Now Obama wants to censor his political opponents on the internet.
That is why Tucker Carlson slammed Obama as a “fascist.”
“So this guy is not just liberal. In fact, he’s not liberal at all.” Carlson said. “He’s a full-blown fascist who hates you and wants to keep you from talking, or else.”
