Nancy Pelosi had one final arrow in her quiver to keep control of Congress.
But Pelosi got some devastating news.
And Tucker Carlson made a promise that left Nancy Pelosi red with rage.
Nancy Pelosi formed the January 6 Select Committee as a political fail safe for Democrats.
The committee’s goals were to refer Donald Trump to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution to block Trump from running for re-election in 2024.
Pelosi also wanted the committee to draft a report about the Republicans being treasonous insurrectionists that would end American democracy if given the chance.
To that end, the committee hired former ABC executive James Goldston to produce the hearings – which critics contends means editing video testimony to cut out anything that contradicted the Democrats narrative.
The House’s Jan. 6 committee has turned to a renowned former network news executive to hone a mountain of explosive material into a captivating multimedia presentation for a prime-time hearing Thursday.
James Goldston — former president of ABC News, and a master documentary storyteller who ran “Good Morning America” and “Nightline” — has joined the committee as an unannounced adviser, Axios has learned.
Why it matters: I’m told Goldston is busily producing Thursday’s 8 p.m. ET hearing as if it were a blockbuster investigative special.
But Goldston has his own problems.
Back in 2019 critics accused Goldston of spiking a story about Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking during the 2016 election out of fear it would hurt Hillary Clinton.
Tucker Carlson also promised to counter program the January 6 Committee’s debut hearing and answer the questions Democrats were afraid would destroy their narrative.
“There are a lot of questions unanswered from January 6th,” Carlson stated. “A lot. We’ll tell them to you at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.”
Just 45 percent of Americans say Donald Trump is “solely” or “mainly” responsible for the rioters who overtook the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 attack, versus a combined 55 percent who say the former president is only somewhat responsible or not really responsible, according to results from the latest NBC News poll.
That’s a shift from the Jan. 2021 NBC poll — taken days after the attack — when 52 percent said Trump was either solely or mainly responsible, compared with 47 percent who disagreed.
The New York Times recently ran a headline claiming the January 6 hearing would give Democrats a chance to reboot their midterm election messaging.
But the polling data shows the American people have moved on from January 6 and more worried about issues impacting their lives like inflation and rising gas prices.
The corporate media is furious that Fox News is not showing these hearings from start to finish.
But there is little – if anything – of any news value to come out of these hearings.
It is just a political charade and a stage managed show put together by a media executive to hurt Republicans.
