William Barr gave a serious update on the Durham investigation that made Obama shake.
There will be serious consequences for the illegal surveillance of the Trump campaign.
William Barr got some deeply troubling news on a shocking Obamagate crime.
The Washington Post said that Attorney General William Barr’s report “depends on his already strained credibility.”
The Washington Post and the rest of the Democrats are already trying to prepare their readers not to listen to the findings of Durham’s report.
That means they’re worried that Durham isn’t going to vindicate them the way that Mueller cleared Trump of the charges of Russia collusion.
There could be real trouble ahead for Democrats and in an election year.
Democrats are probably wishing that Robert Mueller was still conducting his investigation but even Mueller had to bring his investigation to an end at some point.
Barr did not tell Fox News anchor Bret Baier the evidence that John Durham discovered but he did confess that he has been “very troubled” by what the investigation has uncovered so far about how the Obama administration opened up the Russia investigation against Trump.
The American people already know about some of underhanded behavior, how the FBI made at least 11 errors in applying for FISA warrants against the former Trump campaign employee Carter Page, and how the FBI listened in on Flynn’s conversation with the Russian ambassador and used it.
But the American people still deserve more answers on how the investigations started.
“I think before the election, I think we’re concerned about the motive force behind the very aggressive investigation that was launched into the Trump campaign without, you know, with a very thin, slender reed as a basis for it,” Barr said. “It seemed that the bureau was sort of spring loaded at the end of July to drive in there and investigate a campaign.”
“But they seem to have ignored all the exculpatory evidence that was building up and continued Pell-mell to push it forward,” Barr added. “The other area of concern is that after the election, even though they were closing down some of that, as we’ve seen in the Flynn case, and say there’s nothing here, for some reason, they went right back at it, even at a time where the evidentiary support or claim support like the dossier was falling apart. And it’s very hard to understand why they continued to push and even make public testimony that they had an investigation going when it was becoming painfully obvious or should have been obvious to anyone that there was nothing there.”
If the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign without just cause it was an unbelievable crime and Barr doesn’t think that Barack Obama had enough evidence to justify his administration’s actions.
“For the first time in American history, the police organizations and the national security organizations were used to spy on a campaign and there was no basis for it,” Barr continued. “The media largely drove all kinds of sensational claims were being made about the president. That could have affected the election. And then and then later on in his administration, there were actions taken that really appear to be efforts to sabotage his campaign. And that has to be looked at.”
Barr is a careful man and would not be making these claims without evidence to back them up.
Democrats will not be happy when Durham releases his investigation.
