Lurking in the background of the Presidential Election is the investigation into the Obama administration and the FBI fabricating the Russian collusion hoax.
Trump supporters began to lose hope that anyone would be criminally charged as the weeks passed and no indictments came down.
But William Barr just let Fox News in on this secret that shook Washington to its core.
Attorney General Barr tasked United States Attorney John Durham to investigate the origins of the Russian collusion conspiracy theory.
When word leaked out that Durham was now running a criminal investigation that revelation raised expectations that Durham would indict the Deep State conspirators that perpetrated this hoax on the American people.
In an interview with Fox News Channel host Maria Bartiromo Attorney General Barr let the public know one reason there was no movement on criminal charges was the fact that the social distancing guidelines meant to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic limited the ability of grand juries to convene.
Barr then got down to the nitty gritty and updated viewers on the status of the investigation.
But before the Attorney General revealed a possible timeline on when Durham could bring indictments, Barr took a dig at the fake news media for spending nearly three years hyping up the Russian collusion conspiracy theory and then quickly dropping the story once it proved to be an embarrassment to the institution of journalism.
“First of all, I agree with you that it’s been stunning that all we’ve gotten from the mainstream media is bovine silence in the face of the complete collapse of the Russiagate scandal. Which they did all they could to sensationalize and drive and it’s like not even a “Whoops!” they’re just on to the next false scandal,” Barr began.
Barr then let Fox News viewers know indictments could come by the end of the summer.
“In terms of the completion of Durham’s investigation, he’s pressing ahead as hard as he can and I expect that we will have some developments hopefully before the end of this summer. As I’ve said his investigation will continue. It’s not going to stop because of the election,” Barr added.
Finally, Bartiromo asked Barr to comment on the accusation that the FBI used the Russian collusion hoax as the pretext to stage a coup against President Trump.
“Speaking of the Russia collusion story, this was the closest the United States ever came to a coup to take down a president since the assassination of Lincoln. Is that an appropriate statement?” Bartiromo asked Barr.
In a shocking moment, the Attorney General of the United States agreed that the FBI conspired to remove a duly elected sitting President.
“In a sense I think it is the closest we have come to an organized effort to push a president out of office. I’m not reaching a judgment on what the motivations there were there,” Barr concluded.
